The Defenders of Sol are an intrepid group of hunters that reside in Hailgalad. Their leader is Graham, an old mage and former member of the White Hand. Maeve and Desmond are paladin siblings who Graham recruited. They were orphans that served an elite military group in the royal army of Hailgalad. One day, Graham appeared and convinced them to join him to hunt evil in their kingdom. Another member, Cynthia, is a Kaboutian mercenary who joined Graham after a weerwolven decimated her company. She was in awe of Graham, Maeve, and Desmond’s expertise in taking the dark creature down. Finally, Aiden is a ranger who turned to Graham as his only way out from a sentence to a lifetime exile in the northern wastes to toil away in the mines.
These five are not always praised by the masses, particularly the royal army, but some can be heard singing this song in the local tavern. It was written by Maeve on the way to one of their countless missions to save the helpless of Hailgalad.

On one destined day our leader Graham,
Chose to become the noble dam.
To save the kingdom he loved the most,
From the growing evil host.
He found two paladins draped in gold,
With a new purpose they grew more bold.
He discovered a woman who held a great might,
Who took on every brawl and fight.
He recruited a ranger who was a thief,
He turned around his life and his belief.
We five formed the Defenders of Sol,
The great order that holds one goal.
Together we roam across the land,
Ensuring our kingdom remains so grand.
We hunt them in the hills,
We hunt them in the fields.
We won’t stop ’til every evil creature yields.
